Culture ministry requests documentaries about borders
The ministries of culture from the countries that make up the Andean Community of Nations (CAN)—Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Perú—presented in Quito on Monday a request for submissions to a documentary contest they are sponsoring.
The documentary contest is called Andean Window. It will give out $200,000 to eight unscreened made-for-TV documentaries of 24 minutes each that tell the ways of life of the people that live on border.
The minister of culture of Perú, the vice-minister of culture of Colombia, and the vice-minister of interculturality of Bolivia were present at the 6-hour presentation meeting hosted Ecuador’s minister of culture Érika Sylva.
At the end of the presentation, Sylva called it a “very productive” day, and Perú’s Luis Alberto Periano said concrete cultural projects were in the works.
